I'd find it really helpful to know what people would want if the choice was to pay to pee; or to close these toilets Perhaps people can vote by starting their post PAY or CLOSE one problem we have is that TDC can't give any serious figures on how many people actually use each facility. They guesstimate by looking at how much toilet paper is used etc, and on that basis state they ...
@FB. No Rate Rebates on offer, Essentially, the austerity cuts are biting and beginning to move beyond soft targets to hit home. Local government finance rules are complex and it takes years for government cuts to work through. TDC has current revenue of 13.8 million per year, within two years that figure will fall by 1.5 million per year the decision makers are trying to factor ...
Teignbridge are proposing to close three public toilets in the Dawlish area, unless the Town Council takes over the cost of running them Dawlish Warren Outer Car Park Sandy Lane Smugglers Lane, Holcombe Do you think these toilets should close? The first figures compare unemployment in Teignbridge in December 2013 to the unemployment in Teignbridge in November 2013 The second set of figures compares the number in the Newton Abbot constituency for December 2013 to the same figure for December 2012. As you say this figure does not include parts of ...

I totally agree that national politics is important, and didn't in any way criticise the fact that people choose to post on these issues My feeling is that this site is losing its identity as a forum for local discussion too, and for that reason I just wonder if it might be better to have two separate fora so that people can access either or both as their interests dictate.
@OF I have seen this news on another local site, and given information to the eye witness about who they should contact at Teignbridge to report this I think that is the appropriate first step, I think it is then up to Teignbridge as the landowner to contact the police if they think it necessary
Would it be possible to have two discussion forums please? One for national politics and another for local issues. thank you.
