They ask for the opinions of the town's folk and always do the  complete opposite as long as it can waste as much money as possible and continue the rapid downward spiral of decay to the town, in my opinion. Observations over the past 20 odd years living in Dawlish.

Does that mean they will fix all the large pot holes or just put signs out for them to avoid falling in. I assume it will be the latter knowing anything todo with Dawlish, unlike Newton Abbot and Teignmouth.

I experienced anti social behaviour and bullying for over 12 years on a regular basis and reported all these incidents to the police and they literally did nothing at all. My confidence in the Police is less than zero. In the local area there have been drug/alcohol related crimes for years and if anything they are getting worse. Poor old Dawlish just does not get a break. First it was no more air shows then years of  reinforcing the sea wall for the railway because of decades of lack of maintenance by the company and now The Lawn being ripped apart this Summer for poop storage and to boot the motorcycle show that has been such a success the last two years go to Teignmouth ffs.

Oh no not young people getting together and having a good time, how dare they. What a focking country we have turned into, a complete nanny state. Glad I was a kid in the 60's and 70's and could do just what I wanted without government overwatch.

In my opinion all that Stalin Starmer has done is take over the purse strings for the multibillion £ budget the NHS waste every year. I assume so that he can now do the same but with even more vigour. Presumably to bring it to its knees in preparation for privatisation just  like he is doing with the economy, again in my opinion.

How about a MODEST increase in services to go with the modest increase in payment, cheeky so and so's. How about a few redundancies from the council as most of the services are non existent or gone all together!

It is about time that government officials paid into their pension funds just the same as the private sector workers do and did not get top ups from the tax payers.

How about having a police officer who actually walked a beat around Dawlish and got to know what is actually going on. Rather than wasting time talking to the town councillors who seem rather remote from the issues many people are having in Dawlish, in my opinion.

I do not know if it is just me but for nearly 2 decades I have been able to open my windows for fresh air during the winter time. I doubt anything will be actioned other than the sea wall request. There are a lot more issue on the social support level that needs addressing, but that won't happenany time soon, if at all. based on the previous 2 decades of slow spiralling decline of the area and economy, in my opinion.
