Te dah! A thought from me........why not suggest to our new Dawlish Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group #2 that the pavilion at Sandy Lane Playing Fields be made use of in some way. Perhaps some of that CIL money due to come Dawlish's way could be usefully spent on the pavilion? Hole in the Wall? Dunno if it is still operating or not. Do agree though that it is looking run down. Thought that very ...

Re the cricket pavilion. Just found this on another website which was posted by someone called Lynne(!) back in 2009. Lynne 26 September 2009 10:32:45 The Sports Pavilion at Sandy Lane Those of us who frequently go onto the playing fields will no doubt have noticed that the windows of the sports pavilion seem to have been vandalised more over the past 12 months or ...

Totally agree with you Flo about the top of the playing fields having some benches and trees planted at the top. Lovely views from up there. And also agree with regard to how the cricket pavilion might be used.  I have a feeling that the cricket pavilion is a listed building which might create issues as to what can be done to it and how it can be used. Hi all -T'was only going to be a matter of time before I posted on this new thread. Yesterday (Monday 12th) TDC's Overview and Scrutiny Committee met. Included in this plan was the Dawlish Coastal Park SANGS at what is presently Warren Farm. Now, we all know how ...

What constitutes a minor injury? It would be useful for us all to have an idea then we'd know to go either to our nearest MIU or the RDE. Info on here might help http://www.torbaycaretrust.nhs.uk/ourservices/Minor%20Injuries%20Unit/Pages/Default.aspx does Dawlish and/or Teignmouth have x-ray facilities? Ask as a few years back I slipped and lost all movement in my arm. Didn't even enter ...

Thanks Huw. So perhaps RDH or a similar organisation might be interested?

Except that..........Daw Vale was publicly owned ie by Devon County Council. Privately owned and run retirement/nursing homes now that's another matter entirely ( they cost more of course as there needs to be a profit in it for whoever runs it). Whether or not it gets built would, I imagine, depend entirely on whether or not there is enough perceived private sector demand.

Sure? I won't need asking twice you know.

Some Sunday morning thoughts: So...........SANGS need to be in place (wherever that/those place(s) might be) so that TDC can legally give planning permission for lots of houses to be built so that these houses in turn, via CIL, NHB and Council Tax will give TDC the revenue it needs to keep going. So.....if in the future there are even more restrictions placed on local councils such as how ...
