A MAN reported missing from Exmouth could be in the Dawlish area, police have said. Officers are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of 39-year-old Luke Randle, who has been reported missing from the Exmouth area.

AN ODE to Dawlish by Poet Laureate Sir John Betjeman has been erected on a wall at the town’s seafront. The poem, reflecting the town’s red cliffs and railway, is now in pride of place as a plaque on the wall of the viaduct.

CLASSIC vehicles gathered on part of the Lawn in Dawlish on Sunday. The second Dawlish Celebrates Carnival Classic Vehicle Gathering took place despite the threat of rain. This year, as a large part of the Lawn is off limits due to work by South West Water, some of the vehicles could be seen along The Strand.

A pot buoy mistaken for a person in the water prompted a call out for Teignmouth RNLI on Saturday (July 20). Solent Coastguard tasked volunteer crew from Teignmouth RNLI along with Dawlish Coastguard and the Exmouth RNLI inshore lifeboat to respond to reports of a person in the water off Coryton Cove near Dawlish.
