What's the betting he also gets off lightly?
2-Tier justice
So Mike Amesbury walks free after getting his sentence suspended.
Welcome to the banana republic.
Nigel Farages perverted nephew walks free after being convicted of up skirting.
No prison sentence and not even put on the sex offenders register.
Two tier justice for all.
Judges aren't too bothered about perverts @expat.
Having the wrong political opinion is far more serious.
Our society is definitely messed up.
For example if you don't have a TV or watch TV on any devices and therefore legitimately do not require a licence you get hounded on a regular basis by Capita, who assume you're guilty. and you have to prove to them that you're not doing anything 'wrong'. It's government sanctioned harassment.
If you stop a magazine subscription you don't get hounded by the publishing house or an outsourced agency.
I don't have a TV or watch the BBC on any device because I choose not to. I'm not interested in watching news stories that ignore the genocide in Gaza and 'journalists' who fail to hold to account a government who now sees peaceful protesters as terrorists.
I also don't want to fund a broadcaster who did nothing about paedophile Jimmy Saville for decades. And what was the latest issue? Greg Wallace being a misogynist, yet they still want to show his programme because of viewer numbers/ratings?
Ricky Jones has been found not guilty lol.
The moral of the story is to never plead guilty to these dumb laws.
Also, never accept a caution.
And tell the press you are a Labour supporter.
I’d like to remind members to keep discussions courteous. Debate and disagreement are fine — they’re part of healthy discussion — but personal attacks are not.
Please avoid calling other members names or using labels such as “racist”, “paedo”, or similar insults. These terms are inflammatory, often shut down meaningful conversation, and can cause real harm.
Thank you.
Thank you @Webmaster. I'd also like to highlight the constant labelling and attacks on 'leftists' on this site, or attacks on anyone a vocal minority choose to label as 'leftists' whether they are or not. It's ruining the site.
No need too, they do that themselves, calling out anyone who does not agree with them racists.
@1263 Why did you include the question mark there? Are you making a statement or posing a question? You seem unsure of yourself.
I do yes, I think your generalization is baseless. You should avoid such labelling, you're just intent on being inflammatory and shutting down any meaningful conversation.
P.S you have spelt generalisation
the american way ( again ) so hopefully you have learned (a) what generalisation means, and (b) english spelling so that's two positives to take from this conversation , rather than your usual rant which contained zero outcomes.
@1263 Either spelling is accepted in the UK.
And don't worry I won't be labelling you a 'racist' over such a trivial disagreement.
"Generalization spelling is accepted in the uk"
By every single one of us ???? or are you making a sweeping generalisation.
@1263 Either is acceptable. Check the Cambridge or Collins dictionary.
It's funny how you obsess over spelling or selectively become 'woke' when it comes to body shape, or defend Anne Marie Morris' racist comment and yet you ignore comments made by others where they call each other 'racist prick' or 'paedo'.
You've got some warped double standards.
And anyone would think you've got a grudge against me.
No, not got a grudge against you, just dont find it amusing to call out a councillors body shape, or go overboard from the slip of the tongue regarding AMM. Webmaster made the call about the instances you mentioned above so no need for me to comment.
I dont think i have double standards and interestingly dont care if you think i have. Enjoying living rent free in your head
@1263 Of course you have double standards, that's clear for all to see. It wasn't that long ago you were banging on about a person's right to call their dog the 'n word'.
And you don't really give a F about Dawson or any Councillor, you just used that instance because of your grudge.
Interestingly, on this mornings radio 4 news program the bbc commentator used the phrase "nitty gritty" which is "supposed" to be racist. Are you shocked, and outraged enough to write to the director general of the bbc demanding an apology and action to be taken or are you just more selective on who outrages you with racist comments.
"Double standards thats clear for all to see" really ? everybody sees that ? you will really have to stop with these sweeping generalisations as it is obvious you still dont understand the term. Sorry to disappoint you but i dont have a grudge against rosie dawson, i think she is a rubbish councillor but i would not make comments about a persons physical apperance. Your problem is that you have no idea in understanding what was said in the past which is now termed to be racist, you are like one of these "modern day celebrities" !!! who appear on tv shows to comment on shows like black and white minstrels, love thy neighbour etc etc and utter fake shocked outrage that these things were on tv but have no idea of the context of the times.
@1263 Do you know from where the term 'nitty gritty' originates? and therefore why it is considered racist?
Your argument is flawed. You argue that you're not amused when somebody's body shape is 'called out' (in your words), when you constantly call out any who is leftist. It's hypocritical.
You pretend to advocate for people living with obesity on the one hand, yet you label anyone who disagrees with your politics as leftist on the other. Selective wokery on the one hand, whilst villifying a large section of society on the other. Hypocrite.
And 'slip of the tongue' from Anne-Marie Morris? LOL! Are you going to keep rolling that lame excuse out?
Yes i know where the term nitty gritty comes from, but not going to repeat it here. Do you know.?
"Dont call out people with obesity ( body issues ) but do call out leftists" .? You got me there, as i suppose that leftists are people with one leg shorter than the other so that they always turn to the left as its the only physical analogy of a leftist i can think off.
"Large section of society " is this another of your sweeping generalisations
If you think i am woke i suggest you take your cambridge and collins dictionaries from under your wobbly table legs and actually use them as intended.
AMM - you were the first to bring it up, or dont you remember, hence my reply.
Yes I know where the term 'nitty gritty' comes from. And why won't or can't you provide an explanation?
You are constantly labelling people leftist, when they disagree with you on this site. See @Webmaster's comment regarding labelling and not shutting down maningful conversation. Your leftist labelling is obsessive.
'One leg shorter'? I don't know what you're banging on about? Try to keep on topic.
You will find a large section of society are leftist. Look at how many people voted for Corbyn and how many are registering with Your Party.
If you don't think a large section of society are left leaning, then why do you bother with your hounding of anyone you perceive as leftist on this site? What are you scared of, if you think they're in the minority?
I wrote that you're woke when it suits you.
I've read your many comments belittling individuals' mental health on this site, which is another tactic when you don't resort to calling them 'leftists', simply because they disagree with you.
Who is going to take your stance on respect for people with obesity seriously when you mock people, using mental health conditions for your personal attacks?
@1263 there's nothing puerile about the above at all. If I really wanted to be puerile I'd point out your misspelling of the word 'puerile', like you tried to above with 'generalization/generalisation', instead of facing up to the fact;
You have no response. You can't offer any credible counter-argument.
Quit the labelling.
Waited to see your reaction to my misspelling of the word and you took the bait, your so predictable. By the way counter argument does not have a hyphen between the words. Going to start a new thread under the Dawlish Against Labelling name.
Counter-argument
Hyphenated.
Cambridge Dictionary https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/counter-argument
'Took the bait'? LOL Hilarious! What a pathetic attempt at saving face.
And if you are just on this site to play games with misspellings on purpose then it shows how petty and puerile you are. Clearly you're not on Dawlish.com to engage in meaningful conversation.
Thats your third improvement since conversing with me, e.g the use of a dictionary to check spellings rather than support your rickty table legs. Not on the site to play games as it would take ages to have a game of chess over this platform and you would problem call me a racist if i chose the white board pieces.
@1263 I provided that link for your learning. I didn't need to use a dictionary. You're in the wrong, you're just unable to admit it. You have no credible counter-argument.
And who is labelling you? Which label has been used?
Look back a few of your posts when you finish your post with "Quit labelling". Do try to keep up with what you write but again dont expect much from your rants......
@1263 Are you serious? LOL! That isn't an example of me labelling you.
Again who is labelling you? Which label has been used?
