A woman has been freed from a car which got stuck in the mud during a rising tide after it ended up in a harbour. The vehicle hit a wall, flipped over, and landed on its wheels in Cockwood Harbour near Starcross, Exeter, Devon, at about 21:50 BST on Sunday. Read more...

Dawlish Ladies Hockey Club is one of Dawlish's oldest sports set ups and is in danger of closing after almost 60 years. The club is appealing for new members and meets for training sessions every Tuesday evening between 6.30pm and 7.30pm at the all weather pitch at Sandy Lane. Prices for a half plot at Lanherne had been just £10 a year. The land is owned by Teignbridge Council who originally wrote to the holders saying the price was to go up to £100 for a half plot.
