B Beautiful in the Strand

Perhaps the lack of interest is because students and parents have realised that to progress to a decent university they need traditional subjects, not the woolly new ones.

Sorry but it reads likes a carefully crafted piece of propaganda. I'm not saying that there aren't women in similar situations but to imply that all people claiming benefit are purely victims of their situation/circumstances isn't accurate. and yes, I know what it's like struggling, my parents had very little, my mum went hungry to feed us kids.  My dad worked all hours doing two jobs to ...

But not all people fall into the descriptions in the Church report Lynne, surely you can see that for some being on benefits is a lifestyle choice. I agree that most people who claim some sort of benefit are in real need but I know women who would rather have another child than get a job, if they have a steady partner frequently they don't bother to work either. Last I heard the feasibility study that was done said that it wasn't financially viable so the plan was dropped. no money was available for it either. It was the baby of cllr vickery when he was chair of the community trust so worth asking him.

Monkey.do - I wouldn't open anything based in a shop at the moment. If you want to start a business do something that doesn't involve huge start-up costs. Do something original, or what you know best. To be honest though, if you're asking others what to do then you're already in trouble!
