STAFF looking after inpatients at Dawlish Community Hospital have been recognised for their work. The team won an Our People Award, given by Torbay and South Devon NHS Trust, for excellent care, service with a smile, kindness and understanding or exceptional service.

A POPULAR holiday scheme for youngsters in Dawlish has celebrated its success with a special event. Held at Westcliff School where the club is based, Happy Holidays organisers Natasha Cleave and Roz Camp were joined by primary age children, parents and volunteers to mark what could be the final year of the project as it currently stands.

A DAWLISH church has expanded its community offering with the opening of a new cafe. Hope Cafe is open four days a week currently since its recent launch with the aim of adding to Hope Church’s connection with the wider community.

DAWLISH Bowls Club held the third of four 2024 charity days on July 21. 24 was the maximum number of teams and yet 28 showed up so whilst some were left disappointed, this was an absolutely fantastic turnout.

MEMBERS of Dawlish Twinning Association enjoyed a cream tea and bring and buy sale as part of their fund-raising activities. Among the guests was deputy mayor of Dawlish Cllr Anthony James.
