A COMMUNITY project exploring memories of dancing in the heyday of the 20th century seaside music scene is set to culminate with a celebratory public dance event in Dawlish. Over the last few months, At The Hop! has seen older Dawlish residents in care home and community groups to share their reminiscences of going out dancing in their youth.

MPs across the region have debated the future of the South West’s railway network, criticising underinvestment, and a feeling of being sidelined by HS2. Mr Wrigley highlighted the critical importance of the rail network to Devon and Cornwall, recounting how the 2014 Dawlish storm exposed the fragility of the infrastructure.

Some properties in a Devon seaside town have lost their water supply following reports of a burst pipe. South West Water (SWW) said on its website , external at 07:00 GMT on Friday some customers in Dawlish had lower water pressure than normal or a loss of supply.
