Noticed that sainsburys have removed the lower priced
Merlot and shiraz, so that you have to buy the more expensive brands . Also upped the price of a bottle of zero % cider by 33%. PRICE MATCH with Lidl ( where both of these itens are significally cheaper ) IN YOUR DREAMS,.......
Maybe that they have just run out of stock, meaning waiting for more stock, a that does happen a lot.
Did you think of asking a member of staff?
PS. Sainsbury's price match with ALDI and not as you state, Lidl, so please get your facts right!!!
Been like that for over a week even removed the labels on the shelf, as for getting the general discounter name mixed up big deal, sounds like your a member of staff of sainsburys to be so uppty.
Yep, your making a fool of yourself, price of merlot and shiraz was under £5 ... get your facts right.
@carer
Just in case your a bit slow the brand / price of shiraz and merlot have been removed from the shelves and price ticket removed. Try reading my previous post when i mentioned they had REMOVED brand price/label from shelves, so sending above photo utter waste of time.
Merlot has been £5:50 as long as I can remember. Yes, it may have been lower when on OFFER!
Unless you are referring to Malbec which is UNDER £5 still.
Perhaps you have been drinking too much wine and your memory has become clouded. As stated the merlot and shiraz bottles which used to occupy the lower shelf have been priced at under a fiver for months and months. It was not on an "offer". I am not a wine expert , so when i say Merlot and Shiraz i dont mean Malbec so dont know why you bring this up ( probably to cover that you are wrong in this case. )
I mentioned Malbec as it begins with the same letter as Merlot.
As you have difficulty in deciding which store Sainsbury's has a price check with, I thought that you also have trouble with what wine you may have been referring to.
Dont have a problem which sainsburys store has a price check but will give you a clue, this forum is dawlish discussion so try and work out what location i am talking about .If your still stuck let me know and i will give you the answer. Malbec does indeed start with M but unless your dsylexic Shiraz begins with a S , and as i was referring to both types of wines so again another useless point from you.Again please do try and read mail contents before you reply with meaningless responses.
Just been to Sainsbury's in Dawlish and they have a FULL compliment of Merlot AND Shiraz, so I don't know what 1263 is talking about.
As Carer says, he (1263) truly must be the 'minister of misinformation'.
@calamari,
Yes they have a full complement of merlot and shiraz. The issue is the higher price for these items. Another idiot who texts without reading what the isaue ia.
Oh dear 1263. You seem to forget what YOU wrote.
You stated that they (Sainsbury's) even removed the labels, insinuating that they were not stocking said products again.
That is what educated people would have read into.
So who is the idiot now?
Also, as for 'profiteering', are supermarkets supposed to sell goods at a loss?
You obviously seem to think so.
Yes, the labels on the shelves showing the PRICE and particular BRAND of the of those low cost wines. Obviously they stocked other Merlot and Shiraz brands at higher prices, so to answer your question it looks like you are...........
I didnt insinuate that they removed ALL shiraz and merlot wines only in your head would you think a supermarket would do that...
As to profiteering, sainsburys had o% alcohol cider on at £1.50 bottle same as Lidl. They then upped it to £2 per bottle a rise of 33% where lidl keep it at £1.50. Perhaps you think they were selling at a loss and a 33% mark up is fine for the company that made over a billion in profit.
So WHY do you shop there, if all you can do is moan about them?
The simple thing to do is shop elsewhere, or is that too difficult for you to think of?
As this is a Discussion post i am only putting it out there to let other shoppers know. If they still want to shop there then thats fine, only highlighting the facts. The same goes for me if i want to still shop there but avoid mentioned products above thats up to me, however i note you have changed tact to try and suggest moaning as you realise what a idiot you have been.
