In general. I'm in favour of cycle paths. However, this one looks like a mad waste of money to me. Since just before Christmas I have counted 18 cyclists in my occasional trips from the town to the Warren, some in small groups. Of these, just two were using the cycle path. Crosscountry trains have confirmed that they will not be running any trains west of Exeter from 3pm today. The trains may stop running until 7pm due to the high tide, strong onshore winds and the risk of waves over the sea wall, which could affect the likes of Dawlish, which have had previous problems with adverse weather.
