Should we be saying 'the park was required because of environmental legislation' rather than 'the park was needed...........' It might be required but I doubt it was needed and I doubt it will see significant use.............boring green field V seafront, beach, amusements? Time will tell.
This is a sad time, the end of HSTs and the introduction of more uncomfortable, overcrowded inferior trains similar to the Crosscountry trains.
Let's hope the people of Dawlish speak up and speak out and save the lawn from the ********* in power at the moment. Why do they feel the need to simply copy what other towns have done without any thought to the appropriateness to Dawlish?
I'm pretty certain that the part of the F&GP meeting where funding for the proposed playpark will be discussed is open to the public. I think the public can also make comments about agenda items before the meeting starts. .So..........If anyone wants to make their thoughts known (pro or con) to the councillors then the public participation part of the meeting might be a place to do it.

Lynne, Nowt! It looks very nice and I think the arch is especially attractive. Pity they had to place the telegraph pole where it is. But as for it's practicallity, it's rubbish. I have already seen many a folk struggling to get up those steps and many more struggling to get down. Oh! I forgot to mention, no way up or down for mobility scooters andquite difficult for those with push chairs.
