A father has told of his anger and disgust at learning that his 14-year-old daughter had been allegedly sexually abused by men in a seaside flat when he thought she was sleeping at a friend's house. His daughter lied about having a sleepover with a schoolfriend and instead the two girls went to stay with the older sister of another 14-year-old in Dawlish. Read more... ...
i do not think @Calamari understands politics that well (not that i do either).but i would say this, you need to watch past episodes of "yes primeminister". and you will quickly learn that it is the top civil servants that are in charge no matter what party holds the majority and think they are in control. you talk to a politian face to face (members of la's are also classed as politicians) and ...
You are correct Lynne but as we all know the banks here in the uk fell foul and as a result cost us the tax payer billions and to pay back all that borrowed money services had to be cut resulting in what we have today.
@Calamari 1- your getting off the subjest 2-"Silly Questions" thankfully this man is not in power but were he to be elected he would hypothetically have his finger of the nucluear button.....sorry remove that, he believes in "world peace"and the socialist ideals with heroes like stalin who you could argue killed more of his own people than hitler. The essence of asking questions is that ...

Residents of Dawlish avoid the Warren at all costs during the summer months, it's a nightmare to park, an expense to pay and an overcrowded area. Not to my tasting anyway. However if the stupidty of people in office feel that charging more for parking rather than not charging anything at all during the cold and winter months, then well all I can say is, like the summer, we won't go there in the ...
I must say that if you write down what shops we have as you walk through Dawlish, well it paints a nice picture actually, the problem is the shops that we do have are not what we need. It's not that the town has changed, it hasen't, people have changed, goverment has changed, council has changed....they want to spend less, gain more, and I'm afraid that does not work. It's a shame that Tucks Plot ...
I had a beggar try the same yesterday in Dawlish, me being me, decided that I would do something to help, I offered to get them a hot drink and a bite to eat, and they refused and asked me for the money instead...the answer was no, and he moved on...drugs I guess.
I thought the financial mess of some 10 years ago (but still with us now) started over Stateside with the advent of sub prime mortgages. There is a very good film (well I think so) that covers this time in the States. If those interested in how the US financial whizz kids caused all this I would highly recommend watching The Big Short. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Big_Short_(film)
