I'm really rather suspicious about the new profile created on here today, and wonder what the real agenda is behind it. We are led to believe the person stumbled on this site while searching for a knitting group (yeah, right), yet has wasted no time in insulting forum members generally while putting up the pretence of "not wanting to upset users of this group". I'll be watching this new member ...
@smella There are other areas of this website that act a noticeboard, such as the Events tab for example, there really is no need to enter the general discussion area if it troubles you so.
@smella This is a general discussion board, open to all subjects, it is not specific to Dawlish town or events (try Eyes of Dawlish for that). You are being somewhat arrogant in trying to impose your values on this forum, and close down any discussion which is not to your liking.
@smella Just because people live in Dawlish it doesn't mean they have no interest in what goes on the rest of the country, or the world in general. This is a discussion forum, if you don't like the content I suggest you stick to the knitting pattern forums.
Insert the name of any religion in place of racist, and you get the same result.

Of course any sane government would also consider the economic and social consequences of large scale immigration. All the newcomers have to be housed, require medical care, schools for their children and jobs. I think we already have plenty of problems in those areas as it is. And then there is the ...
@Mrs C I have had Muslim neighbours and work colleagues, have you? You should see a playground at a school in areas with a high Muslim population, a white face is a rarity. And it's not just London, it can be seen in all our major cities. Like I said, you really need to open your eyes to see what it's like in the rest of the country.
@Mrs C I've lived in London and know exactly what I'm talking about, you should open your eyes.
I think it's more that the muslims don't like THIS country, they make little attempt at integration, even to the extent of trying to impose Sharia law here, they want to live outside of the community. Is it any wonder their actions result in suspicion and hostility?
Typical that people who would open our borders to all and sundry try to insult those who object to that policy by calling them Little Englanders. Well, in that case Mrs C, I am a little Englander, and proud of it!
