Typical work ethic in this country? Utter nonsense! And an insult to those of us (the vast majority) that work bloody hard in all weather conditions.
Of course it matters which county it refers to. Some counties have more roads than others. And you’re making a wild (and inaccurate) assumption that these compensation payouts are all due to potholes. I wont be making a complaint to Cllr Clatworthy, as I have nothing to complain about. I guess it's a prime example of end of tax year, so work being done, poorly, low cost and low brain usage too.
Lots of complaints have been made about the bad management of this to DCC. It's appalling really, you'd think by watching them that they have no idea how to resurface a road or use traffic lights.
Just been told by one of the workman they hope to finish in two weeks time. People living along the Exeter Road had letters saying the work would generally be undertaken between the hours of 07:hrs and 22:00hrs (Monday to Sunday)
Ziggy, typical work ethic in this country. Start at 12-noon finish at 4 pm...... Teignbridge Council needs to get their act together and clear the storm damage at Coryton Cove...... By the look of Tucks Plot, there will be many months before this project is anywhere near completion.
