When I was a visitor, I enjoyed the carnival, pram race, air show each year. Since I've lived here it's clearly been petering out, which is a shame. I don't know the history of this, but it seems from the comments that politics are bringing it down. I wouldn't want to see the Carnival in Dawlish Warren, I want to see Dawlish keep it, otherwise it may as well give up the ghost completely. ...
Keep the road open, pedestrianised areas become ghost towns in the evening. Not looking forward to the traffic queues behind cars struggling to park though!
