I was in Teignmouth last night and stood right by the cafe - destroyed is a bit of an exaggeration. Was told the kitchen is badly damaged and the rest was full of smoke but they're aiming to be up and running again soon.
An historical waterfront cafe and community hub has been destroyed in a late-night fire, witnessed by big crowds who had gathered for the annual carnival. Peter Dodd was found with the weapon after a fight in Exeter's High Street in which a 17-year-old youth from Exmouth suffered a minor cut to his neck. Dodd, aged 42, who was living rough in Exeter at the time, but is now of Coronation Avenue, Dawlish, admitted possession of a blade when he appeared at Exeter Crown Court. Read more... ...
