Thanks for such a fastidious post Carer, and so early in the morning too. Did you wet the bed?
Thanks, I wasn't actively looking for something to do, but would have gone if I'd dug deeper. I guess that's the difference between push and pull notifications.
Now if only you'd posted that yesterday, we could have taken the kids there...
I wondered it it was possible that Coryton Cove could ever win a Blue Flag or whether it involves factors beyond its control e.g. size and tidal effects. Here are the criteria: http://www2.keepbritaintidy.org/Programmes/Beaches/BlueFlag/EnglishCriteria/Default.aspx
I kinda think the court is the best place to establish the facts, not this forum
Izal?
TDC has insurance on the structure but the Holmans said they were unable to obtain business insurance because of its proximity to the sea.
Nice offer. What are the dimensions? You can certainly get a boat trailer along the sea wall, would your unit get under the viaduct?
Thanks I've just read it. I doubt TDC could deny them a lease as they will surely have a right under their existing tender, same as those with beach huts will not have to re-apply for a new one. However I can understand how they feel right now, particularly as it sounds as if they were up against a lot of opposition in the beginning. Hopefully once they get over the shock and upset of this, ...
I believe the beach huts were insured so hopefully that extends to the cafe too but ordinarily I can't imagine rebuilding and refitting would happen so fast. Here's hoping they pull out all the stops though.
