A 33-year-old mother of two from Dawlish was killed when her Honda car was in collision with a Ford Mondeo in Sannerville Way Exminster on Thursday. Police have arrested the driver of the Mondeo who is also 33-years-old and local. The man is in a undisclosed hospital being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

A Dawlish woman believed to be in her 70's was left badly shaken when she had her car stopped by two youths. One of the young men lay down in front of her car forcing the driver to stop. The second youth claimed the driver had knocked the first male down injuring him. The incident was witnessed by two people and reported to the police. Hospitals at Dawlish,Teignmouth,Newton Abbott,Ashburton,Bovey Tracey and Moretonhampstead have had tighter security after thefts, vandalism and aggressive behaviour towards staff. Residents from Cockwood,Eastdon and parts of Dawlish Warren are set to lose the Go2 bus service. As from January 2009 Stagecoach buses will bypass Cockwood and head towards Dawlish on the A379. Two men from Dawlish age 27 and 25 have been arrested on suspicion of stealing a car. A dog handler followed a blue Vauxhall Corsa being driven erratically towards a car park in Newton Abbott at 3.40am yesterday. The passenger tried to walk away but the handler with help from his dog detained the two men until other units arrived. Both men were arrested.

A Dawlish resident thinks Tourists who feed seagulls should be fined. The resident said they had been swooped on when walking along The Brook and had also been 'verbally abused' when remonstrating with someone who was feeding the gulls. Stuart Glanville from Dawlish went missing in mid June. He was found safe and well in the Newton Abbot area on Saturday.

The would-be robber targeted the 88year-old outside the doctor's surgery in Barton Terrace,Dawlish on Monday at around 11.45am. The victim was pushed to the ground as the attacker tried to steal her handbag but she managed to land punches on him and he ran off. Concern has been expressed by a Judge after a decision by city magistrates allowed a convicted arsonist to roam the streets. Martin Cooper,33,of Meadow Road Dawlish admitted starting a blaze in Dawlish in 2006,he was given a community order with mental health requirement. Stuart Glanville was last seen at his home in Luscombe Terrace Dawlish on Sunday. He had visited his father in Newton Abbot earlier that day.
