Have just seen new beach huts featured on Westcountry News.....again! For something thats new they're being flogged like a Grand National Horse! Seems to be regular features on the warren.....i smell the aroma of a resort in decline and desperate to avoid death. Wouldn't be anything to do with the mayor frightened of seeing very little return on his wendy house, would it?! Who in their right mind ...

Is it just coincidence that the number of new beach huts match the number of councillors on Dawlish Town Council? They also appear to be painted in Party colours......with each hut allocated four padlocks. Are we to assume there will be a new summer amusement on the Warren? I agree....it is very skillful. You only have to look at the development of skating from the 70's to Tony Hawk to see how important a lifestyle it has become. But it is worrying that our local councillors believe they have represented ALL the youth of Dawlish with a skate park, when they should be doing so much more for the young people of our town. Oh the dichotomy! There are many businesses trading on the Warren who would love to go up-market, such is their pretension. Yet they have to ply their trade via the cheap and tacky, as this is where the money is. What a beautiful place the Warren would be without the down market, pubs, amusements, camps and apartments.
