I gather there will be something in Herald Express or Express & Echo Thursday 22nd May about Tesco and Dawlish.

Little birdy tells me Tesco about to go public re their plans for Lady's Mile.

I wonder what Tesco think.........?

The only reason I can see for Tesco to be back and tipping their hat again for having a supermarket in the town (rumour has it on the site of Lady's Mile caravan site) is that they must have done their homework and think they have a good chance of getting planning permission. Otherwise why bother? Sainsbury's site is only up the road remember. I would be interested to have your thoughts on this. ...

instead rumour has it that they are now looking at a building on what is presently a caravan/camping site. Lots of dosh going the way of the owners of the camping site if Tesco get planning permission to build there. This camping site is not far away from Shutterton Bridge where Sainsbury wish to build. Store wars!
