It would be interesting to know who placed them there and when or why. Done a bit of research, and im no latin expert so feel free to correct me but: As Brazil says,Veritas, verus, veri basically means truth, honesty, virtue. semplicitas is a bit more complex from what ive seen, depending on the context in which it is used. there doesnt seem to be a direct latin translation, but it appears in modern ...

Yes Lynne, though your passion for various subjects such as development is commendable, but why not stick to the subject matter of this thread, instead of trying to turn it into a political debate. Youve told others not to read or post on threads that dont interest them, now youve tried to turn an interesting equiry into yet another sounding board

Post office

Actually lazlo, please point me to where i accused ASDA of anything. You stated that you were going to boycott the onestop and the post office because they are owned by TESCO,thats fine, free country and all that. My point was, that if anyone(not you in particular) is going to bang the drum on a principle, then that principle applies equally to all these major chains that are ruthless in their ...

Tesco purchased T & S stores in 2003 who were trading as one stop(having purchased the dillons chain). The most profitable of these were turned into Tesco express and this seems to be an ongoing programme,so i dont really think Tesco are bothered about image. The Mills group is/was a midlands/north based company that had nothing to do with either one stop or Tescos prior to the purchase by one ...

Never tried witches bowl but up to now my choice is the beach cafe. Never had a bad one there and theyll always substitute stuff, for example fried bread,if your like me and dont like it. Have tried 2delicious,and yes its a good one,but if you are a greedy pig like me,the beach cafe piles it on. Is anyone prepared to admit getting a brekkie from baileys? i tried one once and left it there,it was ...

Yes most unfair this one. Up to now, only the 18+ machines have been subject to this tax,on top of the individual licence that every machine has required. Now every machine is included, including the coin shovers and the fluffy toy cranes(dont expect to win one of those easily lol). Harrisons is part of the nobles group so i think they may survive,i can see a lot of the little independents going ...

Maybe someones had a word then.because she is(or has been) commented apon by quite a few people, just because they dont put it on here doesnt mean its isolated incidents. I know some customers can try the patience of a saint, but the secret is to bitch and moan once theyve paid and left, and definately not get stroppy just because they ask you a few questions. For a shop that depends mainly on the ...

Post office
30 Jul 2011

Little bird tells me that the staffing levels are to be restored to previous levels with effect from 8th of this month, and there will be at least two on duty at all times from now on. What has brought about this apparent change of heart wasnt divulged, but i for one think its a good move on the part of the post office

Coop

I think we do well for grocery shops to be honest, cost cutter is nice and clean(ok,a little pricey),both onestop(yes its understaffed) and the co-op(yes theyve had supply issues) have refurbed and the staff in all 3 are pleasant and cheerful, even when under pressure. Behaviour breeds behaviour,go into these places copping attitude, and youll back exactly what you dish out,and if you cant take ...
