That's my point, I am looking forward to seeing what has changed since my last visit. I beleive that there are now some new apartments at the end of Dawlish Front, changes at the Warren and lots of work at Teighmouth. It's always interesting to see change.

I am hoping that the weather stays fine. Am arriving with my sister in law and nephews on Tuesday morning and staying till Friday evening. Really looking forward to our trip and seeing the changes that have taken place in Dawlish and the surrounding areas. Here's to some sunshine for the week ahead. Thanks to everyone that has given us suggestions for if the weather is raining at any time.

I really wish that I had been down last week. I have been in Dawlish for Carnival Week a number of years ago and the weather was glorious, that raft race was excellent and the activities of the week were a joy to see. Perhaps I will be able top make it next year with them as I know they would enjoy it.

Thank you all for your suggestions, there are plenty of ideas if the weather isn't hot and sunny. I am looking forward to seeing all the scarecrows around the town and a train trip will be on the cards too.

I am coming to Dawlish with my 3 Nephews aged 12,10 and 6. Can anyone advise me on some nice places to visit in the area if this great british summer lets us down. If its sunny they will be happy in the pool and on the beach with a game of Crazy golf and a visit to the amusements thrown in for good luck, but any ideas if it rains? Thanks

I was not able to make it down to Dawlish for the Carnival this year. Sounds as if it went well. I am coming down for a couple of days after the Bank Holiday and looking forward to seeing what has changed since my last visit.

This is an excellent decision. I have not posted for a while as I was disgusted with some of the posts that were left on here by Anon. This should make this a really good forum now. Although looking at the replies that dullish is leaving for Don, I think that Anon/Roy and whatever other names Dullish used to post as will carry on what ever webmaster does. Happy Days...
