What does the carnival cost from start to finish? Why can't a sponser from a large business be found for next year, who could part fund it. Perhaps the large supermarkets in and out of town

I think you are all forgeting that dawlish has no room for good shops, they are all occupied by junk shops. The good folks of Dawlish give junk to them, only to buy junk from them. They have more cutomers than everyone else. Now we have carnival with stalls selling the same items as other shops, taking money away from them.
