Here's one for Teignbridge planning dept.
This is why the infrastructure needs to be updated before any more new houses are built in and around the Shutterton area.
The photo shows a fleet of at least five pump tankers fighting a loosing battle against the extra sewerage caused by this weeks influx of holiday makers on the local campsites. These tankers have been ferrying the extra SH*t from the Shutterton brook pumping station to the main sewerage site on Mount pleasant road Timmaru Gardens all week, day and night. This incidently is not an isolated incident it seems to happen on most bank holiday weekends as well.
Imagine the extra cost to Southwest Water and now think about why we have the highest bills in the country.
and to those on here who think the Carnival Committee make the town look stupid, what would you call this?
Agreed, and perhaps the land owners on the north side of Secmaton Lane who are busy putting in planning applications for more houses outside those in the 20 year plan need to think also.
I suppose that this has nothing to do with the fact that we are creating a city the size of Birmingham just from immigration every 2.5 years (BBC News source) ? I have no greivance with immigrants but this is just not sustainable in this country - we just ain't big enough!
