It was demolished to make way for the new look Strand another waste of cash 1.7 million for a extra wide footpath now used for vans and lorries to park while making deliveries.

We would normally have loads of postings about the Fair along the lines of, it shouldn't be on the Lawn, polution levels from all the generators etc etc. To be fair i have hardly noticed its there.

The Church in The Strand always used to ring the bells every morning at 0900 but they stopped about 10 years ago nice to hear them again they have been ringing every morning for about 3 weeks.

There has been a post recently if i remember correctly giving figures on the numbers of folk commuting by car/ train from Dawlish to Exeter.

I at the moment require a new walking jacket 5000-6000 hydrostatic head, new walking boots, trainers. jeans, t shirts, socks for walking.  So these items are not available in Dawlish the jacket is available in Exeter for £74.99 but i have found the same jacket online from Northern Ireland for £31.12 i do all my shopping online the only money i spend in Dawlish once a month is for a haircut.  The ...

Speaking to a number of traders over the last few days they all tell the same story takings down by 20 - 35% on this time last year. Now if this trend continues we will end up with a totaly dead town. Is the lawn used by the residents of Dawlish?  i dont think it is. i dont know anyone who uses it on a regular basis and only venture onto the Lawn during the carnival and fair. The problem with ...
