Thought a lot of the elderly have already moved to Dawlish with their pensions and are presently whiling away their time awaiting their final destination. No need to go to Eastbourne. Not sure that how many supermarkets a small town should have because they would offer more choice to the customer is part of the planning criteria. And anyhow, if the Morrison's at Teignmouth goes ahead wouldn't that provide competition to the Sainsbury's at Dawlish?
Sainsburys and Tescos dont give a damn for the town or its folk, its all a part of their great battle as to which company can out sell the other. Agreed. Trouble is..........a lot of others don't see them that way. They see them as some fantastic panaceas for resolving 1).
