The party may have been perfectly legal (but didn't someone get done for possession/dealing?) but it was NOISY and extremely intrusive. Don't know where you got the info that the campers were only upset because they weren't invited. That's not what I heard from campsite owners. Far from it. Campers were upset because of the thud, thud, thud of the noise emanating from the party. And.......a ...

Yes I saw that as well, made a mental note to advertise the fact via this website then promptly forgot! The other thing is, is that people are wanted to work there. See the advert in, I think it's "Presents" shop window.

Thought a lot of the elderly have already moved to Dawlish with their pensions and are presently whiling away their time awaiting their final destination. No need to go to Eastbourne. I'm not talking about a dozen or so residents being affected by noise. Noise travels vast miles. Last summer there was a rave somewhere over Haldon Forest area. That noise could be heard at the Warren and in Dawlish ...

Ahem! With all the new (and existing) housing both at the Warren and in Dawlish do you think the residents would really want all that noise? And the campers? Don't think so somehow.

Read this (and no, I'm not advocating that the state retirement age between the sexes should not be the same. What I am doing is trying to bring Joe and Josephine Public's attention to the government's proposals). As far as I am concerned there is a degree of unfairness about how women in a certain age group are being treated. Take a look. ...

Let's be honest Dawlish has a shopping area that in reality consists of one street - The Strand. Teignmouth's shopping area is larger and has more shops. So.....of the two, where are people (both residents and tourists) likely to go if they want to have a mooch about/have a greater possibility of finding whatever it is they want to buy? (And come the advent of at least one out of town ...

Tesco's Appeal

Not sure that how many supermarkets a small town should have because they would offer more choice to the customer is part of the planning criteria. And anyhow, if the Morrison's at Teignmouth goes ahead wouldn't that provide competition to the Sainsbury's at Dawlish?

Sainsburys and Tescos dont give a damn for the town or its folk, its all a part of their great battle as to which company can out sell the other. Agreed. Trouble is..........a lot of others don't see them that way. They see them as some fantastic panaceas for resolving 1). The cost of shopping and 2). and here's the best joke........as a way of attracting people into Dawlish. Ha, ha, ha, ha, ...
