When you were walking along Long Lane were you also thinking of the feasibility of it being widened and its route becoming the new main road in and out of Dawlish?

@Brazilnut Let us just say that these homes do get built. Why are you presuming that they will go to the children and grandchildren of those of us already living in Dawlish? They might. But as far as I know there is nothing to say that will definitely be the case. Fair enough Brazilnut, you may not give a toss whether the figures are right or wrong but obviously others of us do. This "I'm alright Jack philosophy" to which you refer. I cannot speak for others, but you can have no idea how ironic that accusation is if you are aiming it at the likes of me and mine. @Brazilnut These boring political threads as you put it are about the future of Dawlish. You might find that a boring subject but others of us obviously don't and anyhow if you find a thread boring then don't read it/post on it. Simples.

@Rainbow1 -oh yes! what a good idea please do write a letter to the Gazette. I'm sure we would all love to read what you have to say. A well argued, well researched letter from you and written in plain English would be such a change from the snidy and almost unintelligible comments you post on this website.
