Another by election? Well, that depends on whether or not (as per last time) ten electors in Central Ward decide that one should be called. Will be interesting to see if that does happen and, if so, who those ten electors are. (PS I see from Gazette report that the resignation from the town council is due to ill health though oddly enough that's not causing him to resign from the district ...
I wasn't suggesting that our enquirer from Portsmouth look on the DARE 'latest news' page. I was suggesting that s/he contact them. Not sure Rainbow1 how your posting is relevant to the question posed by obeav1.
and you could also try the Exe Estuary Partnership http://www.exe-estuary.org/
Hi obeav1 Try Dawlish Warren Tourism http://www.dawlishwarren.info/contact-us/ they should be able to help. Plus why not try googling DARE for the Environment of Dawlish, Dawlish Town Council and Teignbridge District Council. You should be able to find e-mail addresses for all three and I am sure there are people in DARE, the town council, and the district council who may be able to help ...

I see from the estate agent's blurb that these properties " boast beautiful views of the surrounding countryside" and are in a "semi rural location". For how long I wonder?
Thought the other day that this development had suddenly moved on apace. Take a look at page VIII in this week's Homebuyer section of the Dawlish Post. Full page ad. 1,2 and 3 bedroom properties for rent . Prices ranging from £650pcm to £895 pcm. The advert not only shows pictures of the properties concerned but also that of farmland. Wonder if that famland is located in the immediate locality ...
And some might say that building on fertile farm land is just as bad as building on the Luscombe estate. Especially as there is such a long list of people in the town wanting allotments. And yes, I know, the proposals concerning the Gatehouse and Secmaton Farm areas allow for orchards and allotments etc but somehow I doubt that they would ever come to fruition to use a very appropriate word. And ...
To quote from the article I refer to in my posting above. The 1980 Housing Act introduced the Right to Buy legislation. As a result "more than 2.5 million council homes worth almost £86 billion were sold by 2009 for £45 billion."
