The reason I mooted the idea of a children's playpark was that it might be one way of getting people into the town - both residents and tourists. I was in Teignmouth yesterday. Why? Because the facility I needed (building society) is no longer available in Dawlish. So whilst I was there I also did some shopping in the shops that we just don't have in Dawlish - Peacocks, Superdrug, WH Smith and the like. @neilh I believe the latest plans for Dawlish concerning housing is that 900 will be aimed for (plus those already in the pipeline - 251 at Gatehouse Farm/Secmaton Lane plus the 124 on the adjoining field at Secmaton Rise).
