Good luck to all those taking part in tomorrows (10/11/13) parade, which I believe begins at 2:45pm. I hope the weather stays good for you. Many thanks also to Dawlish Branch RBL for all you have done. You are a wonderful organisation and and a great asset to this town, which you have proved with the Party in the Park events of the past few years.
I find it amazing that in this day and age where hundreds/thousands of people in this country have to rely on Food Banks to be able to eat and thousands of people worldwide are starving, that fields galore are growing a FOOD product for the specific use of being carved into a 'Lantern'. Limited Budget/on a pension 15 eggs at Lidl. £1:25 6 or is it 5 Doughnuts at Sainsburys. £1, where as 60p each at bakers. Why is it wrong and made to feel guilty to shop elsewhere when one is on a limited budget? If I was at work and earning plenty of £££'s per week, then yes, I would shop locally but as I am not, then every penny counts.
@ Fred Is that right, Nightfreight are moving? If so, do you know why and where to? Anyway, as for their building, it is not worth doing anything to it except demolish it. When I was working there 10 years ago the place was a complete mess then, so what it's like now, I wouldnt like to say.
@ BB You have mentioned about the 'special relationship', but where were they when Argentina invaded the Falklands? At long last, we have a PM who has listened to the public and said no, and about time also. I am not a tory supporter but he has earned my respect for doing that.
@ Fred Have pulled up close to a Buzzard in the car many times and they are not at all bothered, but, when that car door opens up, that's a different story. They don't hang around as soon as that happens.

Hi Fred. Looks like a Buzzard. Probably there as it is out of sight from other scavangers such as crows and the like. Although the Buzzard is a larger bird, they tend to be scared of other birds such as crows.
Couldn't agree more BN. An excellent weekend so far. Well organised and the Air Show committee should be proud of what they have achieved.
