Oaklands wood leads onto three fields that have a path running around them often used by dog walkers.  These three fields are up for consideration for housing development. I'm not sure that I have read anywhere that the vaccine is seen as a cure all.  It has been made clear that having the vaccine will not necessarily stop people getting the virus.  The vaccine will, however, stop people getting as ill as they might have done if they had not been vacccinated. No-one is disagreeing that we have had months of restrictions and that people are now being allowed to travel. It is the very fact that they can, and are, travelling , that is causing disquiet. Lockdown again in how many weeks?

The holiday makers are here because the government is allowing them to be here. That is Johnson's policy just as it is the Johnson covid variant that is spreading with ease right now. The blame lies ( appropriate word that - lies) at the door of 10 Downing Street.

I've just been reading a thread on Eyes of Dawlish concerning this Local Plan review. Quite understandably there are comments expressing concern about Grade 1 agricultural land being developed for housing and how this shouldn't be allowed to happen because this country should be more self sufficient with regard to food, and how it doesn't augur well for the future of the British farming ...

I'm guessing this is the revised planning application. It is being determined at next Tuesday's (20th July) TDC planning committee meeting. Officer recommendation is to approve.
