I'd say this car boot has been running for some 10/11 years now and I must have been to most of them in that time but I have never, ever seen it as busy as it was with sellers as I did today. The field was almost full to bursting with them. It was a H U G E turnout. And the same at Lympstone this morning apparently.
Bunny Homes (developer) have confirmed that they will not now be developing this site.
The DTC submission (see above) says: “ Some of the proposed sites are classified as undeveloped coast. It is imperative that these areas are preserved from all further housing development ”. One of these sites with undeveloped coast designation is the land west of Teignmouth Road. It is opposite The Smugglers pub at Holcombe, looking across the A379 in an inland direction up to Oak Hill ...
Seems like it's a bat issue. In the absence of anyone else living there - they decided to move in. When bats are found they cost money to relocate and this can also delay demolition of buildings. All of which bring additional costs to the developer.
There is a posting on Eyes of Dawlish saying that this development is now not proceeding. Anyone any info?
Dawlish Town Council Members want to highlight the following points when considering further development in and around Dawlish Parish. Infrastructure We have serious concerns as to whether the infrastructure of the parish is robust enough to cope with the extra people and cars that the proposed sites, and the large number of new open market houses will bring. We do need to increase the ...
I'm not misunderstanding the Local Plan review. The sites have been put forward by TDC because , as you rightly say, they have been put forward by landowners. And not all land that was put forward by the landowners was subsequently put on the list for consideration in the Local Plan Review Part 2. Furthermore, I agree that not all the land that was put out for consideration in the recent ...
Just taken another look at the land put forward by TDC as possible housing development sites as per the Local Plan Review Part 2. Two of the sites under consideration presently form part of Amity Farm and they are located either side of Orchard Lane, one being above and on the same side as St Mary's cottages and which seems to be adjacent to Cofton Holiday Park. (thus very near to the land ...
I've just taken a look at this planning app. and it seems from a recent letter that Cofton are getting frustrated that this application still hasn't been determined and that furthermore they understand that the recommendation is for refusal. This planning application concerns land towards the upper end of Orchard Lane opposite the countryside park. However, more to the point, it seems the ...
And not only are some of the proposed sites classified as undeveloped coast but in the case of the Teignmouth Road site the area is also part of an AGLV (Area of Great Landscape Value). PLUS, plus........by (presently) being open farmland it forms a gap between the settlement at Holcombe and the beginnings of the settlement (Southdowns Road area) at Dawlish. In the present Local Plan it is the ...
