Thanks Lynne for sharing this for the benefit of those who didn't receive the leaflet for whatever reason...
Returning to the subject of the Ferret & Radiator, I see that, despite starting work on the building, Mr M Strong hasn't got permission yet to convert it to 2 houses and 1 flat. What if his application is turned down? Or is it a done deal...?
Is posting that photo really appropriate? It might make Jools88 hungry! :-)
Following the success of Sundays' Christmas Market, what of the chances of there being a weekly street market along a traffic-free Strand? Mary Portas has said that these are the future of Britain's town centres, and I wholeheartedly agree with her about this. The town was vibrant on Sunday last, why not every week?
On-street parking is the responsibility of Devon County Council not Teignbridge District Council. To be fair, this has been well publicised.
It was great to see so many locals enjoying the traffic-free Strand earlier today. Local businesses were doing a roaring trade too! Well done everyone!
People who live locally will know that this paper has a large and wide circulation, particularly on Saturdays. So why is there no mention of tomorrow's Christmas Market in their 'What's On' guide? Perhaps next year the committee ( or whatever they call themselves ) will let the WMN know and perhaps attract visitors outwith Dawlish? Details on how to contact them are on the relevant page...
Glad to help. :-)
@Lynne . go to 'account' (top right of screen), and then 'forum posts' (left hand column), et voila! :-)
Bit of an early start for you tonight Jools88. By the way, i edited them at 9am...
