Looks like 'no Christmas in Dawlish'
Glad I use the train 13p a mile to Exeter, just takes 15 mins to St Thomas and no traffic. £2.60 return on a devon card. What lea says makes perfect sense.
On the train today ..when the train was just pulling into Dawlish ..the guard said 'this is Dawlish famous for Gays Creamery and lovely Pasties ..well woth a visit to Dawlish' . I .thought someome may like to know this! .. it made a nice change from the usual script, nothing was said about Teognmouth! The bridge is smart by the way.
Oh yes I guess Punch is a bit of a bully. The ice cream sponsored by ice cream firms and it would remind people to buy one!
Why on earth could he not design something in connection with the seaside? Ho about a Punch and Judy or giant ice cream with a flake? ..but he chooses a pregnant woman!. I dont think it looks very nice that the new young mums go round town clearly showing their bump! To me its tacky, it may well be right for Ilfracombe but Dawlish and South Devon is a bit more up market lol.

Blimy it looks awful ..it was just on BBC news 24, should catch it again around 8.50. Will be on Spotlight or West Country later for sure.
End of Summer ..start of empty streets, just locals and few people around to buy...you have to be crazy or rich to pay the rates and business rates ..I can see no reason now why anyone would want a shop...but do give it a go!
woo ..I agree with Brazilnut and Lynne too!!! The ONLY part of the Olympics I watched was the music final. I have been amazed the BBC TV and ITV main news for two weeks has just been Olympics! ..guess they will find something to report on now,
Dawlish is a very pretty town with the sea and lawn area. Very quiet and dull in the winter. As you say you have spotted the negatvity of people, I put up with it for 7 years, think that is the actual average move time anyway. It helps if you were born there... I was not lol.
