@wondering one of the reasons, she sold off council houses was to stop workers striking , no matter how much people might want to buy they have to get a mortgage first, and unless you are in a well paid job that has become impossible. 2 million council houses were built before she came to power, and she sold them . as lynne says most are now in the hands of private landlords charging high rents, ...
