What the hell has happened to this forum? What is the point of all the negativity?

What's wrong with an interesting discussion?

Plus I believe he has to be nominated to stand as an MP first, then win said election, before he can even dream about being PM

Roberta 1) was that language really necessary against another human being that I suspect you have got your impressions of from news reports and no actual personal knowledge of the man?  2) what exactly has he done that is, in your view, obnoxious? 3) is he generally an arsehole in your opinion or is it just because his political views differ from your own?  4) would you be as happy for strangers to make those sorts of comments about you or can you only dish it out?

The tone and attitude of this forum is becoming very bad news for Dawlish as an advert for the town and it's population.  Generally most posters on here are fine, but the few are spoiling it for the many.

DJ .. I totally agree with you.

It comes to something when you need to 'stoop' to such uneducated colourful language to make a point. So I dont think Roberta stands much chance of being elected as an MP do you lol.

I think Boris would make politics fun. So why not give him a chance.

After all he is a far better bloke than Ed Miliband.

I don't know either of them. It's just my opinion that Boris would be a good PM.

Also he makes a lot of sense when talking about the European Union.

Eddie Izzard would make politics fun - more so than Boris so he obviously would be a far better candidate for PM.

Boris Johnson could easily become the next Tory leader, if there enough right wing supporters in the Tory party to vote for him.  Its all about personality today, and no policies.

Hitler succeeded in brainwashing cultured Germans into his evil mindset, Boris Johnsone will have no problem with British Tory voters.

Just swapping out one puppet for another because one is no longer flavour of the month has no effect on policy. Policy is determined by those who operate the puppets. Just as in the U.S. you don't become presidante without millions of dollars of donations by multi nationals and the mega rich and if you want donations for the next elections you had better do their bidding.
