some interesting information @Lynne . i don't see that most of the current building is assisting with the housing shortage at a social housing level - have you seen some of the prices?! @Andysport i do find the comment of "so stop moaning" grating. a view that is not the same as yours is not 'moaning'. differing opinions on a discussion are not 'moaning'. why does the silence ...
Saw an interesting letter from Teign Housing, who operate Lanherne, at the weekend. Apparently they had no knowledge of either the Coach Parking (for which they've asked for more information) or the cycle path, for which they've refused access for reviews. I wonder whose failure this is.
It was on the plans Mcjrpc. It would be nice to have an alternative to the Barton Surgery, there seems to be a certain amount of complacency there.
I'd rather travel at stupid o'clock from Exeter than have to go via London.
I had to laugh, I'm finally making a meeting in London next week only to find out that there's a tube strike! Oh the joys!
Be careful with cardboard, they won't accept it in the boxes in Teignbridge or by the side of the bin. They will accept thin card in the wheelie bin as long as it's mixed and not over a third of content (I think). Thick card must be taken to a recycling centre (Newton/Exeter) or a cardboard recycling bank.
@michaelclayson i've just noticed i've said elm grove road, instead of drive - makes a difference!
So does that mean the whole of the green wheelie bin will be for food waste collected once a week? Or will there be another food waste bin and the green bin will be used for gardening waste if you pay for it? The front of my house already resembles a recycling centre. I suppose the council aren't worried about fly tipping anymore as most of the fields are being built on ...
Well the temporary fixes (I assume that's what they were supposed to be) lasted a long time along Elm Grove Road. They looked awful when they were done and are all lying at the side of the road in rubble form now. Hope they didn't pay too much for the 'services' of those contractors.
Best chips these days is Chippy Chaps in Dawlish Warren. I have heard the food at Cofton is nice but have never tried it.
