General Discussion

I see that this site is no longer a platform for "say what you like, about who you like." I see the piece about the Manor play area has been removed. And a piece about asking the carnival committee has appeared instead. So what influence has the Rotary and the Round Table got on you webmaster?

Was there adequate advertising before the consultation was conducted? I remember a consultation excersise before CCTV was born here in Dawlish and it was claimed by the now defunct mayor (Tom Bush)that there was overwhelming support. Investigations showed that a new meaning was attached to the word overwhelming. There was little or no support, I guess the same claims could be made for this play ...

Cllr Wills has said on the telly, "the previous duck warden, (Julian Lawley)when refering to the swans, had a sucessful breeding program. Where is the evidence of that Mr Wills? These draconian measures will be available to DAWLISH in the not too distant future. DOG OWNER REFUSES INTERVIEW ...

The Lives of Others is an Oscar-winning German film that is really an update on Orwell's 1984. It shows how the stasi, the friendly, neighbourhood beat managers on the wrong side of the Berlin Wall, controlled the lives of just about everybody. And woe betide those who stepped out of line. The film, first shown at the Exeter Picturehouse a couple of months ago, is returning next month -- by ...
