General Discussion

Sorry User 4549. GIve your dog a hug from me! Does he have one eye too? I hope not because then he'll know that the poem was not directed at him.

On the subject of edible things, and I know it's not in Dawlish, there's a talk tonight at the Science Cafe in Teignmouth (The Oystercatcher) on the subject of insects you can eat. Apparently there'll be a cricket stir-fry to try. Useful to know when there's only us and insects left on the world (+ plants of course).

A DOG’S LIFE (A MODERN-DAY MORALITY TALE) If I were a dog, what would I be? I’d be an alsatian and live by the sea. I’d call myself Nelson, cos I’ve only one eye. I’m blind to compassion, I don’t even try. They say that a dog’s like its owner, you know. Well it’s true, through and through; I vouch that it’s so. @Don. Hi Don. Yes it is interesting!! And I'm not usually given to quoting the bible (or more accurately the NT part). It just seemed an appropriate analogy in this thread. The bible as a book is many things amongst which it is a collection of thoughts and philosophy about ethics and morality. There is a view that Jesus was the original marxist - he certainly went against much of the dogma of his ...
