Instead of granting money to a committee outside of council control would it not be more sensible for the council themselves to take over the administration and organisation of such an important event in the towns calender. As I walked down the main shopping avenue in Minehead I did make a list of the 26 main name shops if anyone is interested can post them. I have to admit I do most of our day to day shopping in Teignmouth and dont really mind doing so. Rumour perhaps but have just been informed that it is highly unlikely that trains will be running what we know as a normal service on Friday. It seems only one of the two tracks will actually be serviceable and that there will only be a token movement of trains. Anyone know different.
Probably not but the first attempt would make an excellent Epic Fail video for posting on Youtube. Suggest we try it with one of Richard Bransons Virgin Voyager trains.
