I agree, the language used by Dawlish Man is not acceptable so I have censored it. Please can we try and be gracious to other forum members and particularly stop posting comments with excessive bad language in them? Many Thanks. Webmaster.
Apparantly the owner spoke to my collegue who then went ahead and removed the threads. I agree that the owner had a point in that it appeared that he was being blamed for things that could not be directly attributed to his pub and some of the threads were not about his pub. So, as you will see, I have renamed the title of the threads which I think is a fair compromise.
I'm not sure what happened to the thread because I've been away for a week. I will try to find out. I have recovered the thread from the last backup, but it may have some posts missing. I am not the only one with administer access to the site, so I need to investigate.
Unfortunately, the data was beyond repair, so I'm afraid not. We are planning to put in place a better backup system to avoid this in the future.
There are a few posts missing from the 2nd and 3rd of September due to server failure resulting in the need to restore from a backup. This was also the reason the site was down on the 4th. Please accept my apologies.
FEL-699, I have masked your phone number because it is not advisable to publish personal information on forums. There are people out there who constantly crawl the web, using automated software, to gather personal details such as email addresses, addresses, phone numbers etc. Also, can we please refrain from arranging fights? I'm sure it's all in jest, but I have had a complaint from someone and I ...
I thought that rather than create a user for each post or attach the post to a current user using that name, it would be best to put them all under a single user I have created and called 'guest user'. At the bottom of the post I appended in green the screen name used by the poster at the time.
As you are probably aware, we have updated this site to a newer version of the software, which will bring better functionality to users in the future. At the moment there are a few issues which we will have fixed very soon. Please feel free to let me know of anything you come across that needs attention. Thank you.
Apologies. We updated the site last night and had a few technical problems which are hopefully sorted out now. The post was: It's all about personal choice though - Emotions in Dawlish for me is a great card shop which puts anything in Teignmouth to shame. By Bardwell.
Yes, because it was a pointless post, against forum terms and made the home page look messy.
