General Discussion

Well its a good thing you do holiday here. If we had no holiday visitors, there would be no call for shops. You've seen the fuss about Tesco, if it is used by locals that will go down in history! it is expected that people here will still travel outside to shop. Strange people Devon.

as said before .. shopping habits are that people living here will still shop outside of Dawlish, the new store will attract mainly those outside in a catchment area of about 8 miles but ideal for holidaymakers. People living in Plymouth shop in Exeter. I know a family in Newton, they never buy there .. they do all the shopping in Torquay.

Well say something 'positve' about Dawlish .. bet Birmingham can't do decent Pastys lol.

Go to Birmingham to live then, is lovely there by the beach.

Well said Jacky. I'm going to move away from the West and the 'petty small minded' Bob alikes. You know there is nothing wrong with the World is just some people are so determined to ruin it.

It is not YOUR Dawlish.

Ok Bob so if this is to be a 'haven for the better off' .. I can put my house up for sale not at £195,000 but for £295,000 as per Salcombe prices. Your origanal posting said.. quote 'KEEP DAWLISH TO OURSELVES THANK YOU VERY MUCH' does that statement make sense to anyone? sure does not to me.
