General Discussion

Not 100% sure as it seems that from previous posts the local plan meeting was not conducted in a legally binding manner due to no minutes being taken. However I'm sure that among those present including TDC, developers, etc we agreed that in these economic times 30% was not realistic and would prevent any developer committing. It was therefore agreed that 15% would be a more achievable figure. ...

@Lynne We need a bit of detective work here. Shutterton Park Ltd are not as yet registered with companies house and there appears to be no trace of a permanant address for them, just a P.O.Box in a multi- tennanted office block in Telford. I suspect Millwood developments are hiding behind this as they obviously have contacts within TDC and claim to have been involved in several other projects ...

South west water have major problems in Dawlish they just will not address the issues because profit has to come before anything else. Wait untill they have to dig up a large section of Exeter road to replace the collapsing sewer from Lady's mile down towards Sainsburys. That should be fun.

Just a little warning about the new strategy being employed by EDF Energy if you happen to owe them money and you don't have a direct debit or other way they can attempt to rob you. They are now sending two company uniformed, trained monkeys around in a marked van. These really intelligent people stand on your doorstep and demand you to pay them, they are well armed with a mobile credit card ...

Not being an expert but having wasted my time attending the meetings of late is there any legal reason why TDC cannot block all planning applications of say more than five houses, until updated infrastructure is in place. Surely if the Environment agency can block having a car park at the end of the lawn on flood risk grounds they can block mass housing development on high risk polution grounds ...

In his/her other life probably sits on the board of directors of Bovis/Barratt & Millwood homes. May even go on the TDC/VFD rate payer expensed jollies. These people are a bloody joke and we pay their wages. When is some protest group going to insist all this Local Plan etc RUBBISH is thrown in the bin

On the subject of people not having a say on whats built around the town and what is not, has anyone heard anything from the D.A.R.E. group recently. All seems quiet on that front.

Without wishing to sound negative or put a downer on things with the holiday season about to start. Do you not think Lynne that part of the future plan for Dawlish is for it to be less of a tourist/holiday destination and as mentioned on many threads before just a commuting overspill area for the expanding city of Exeter. It seems that most of the warren holiday parks are now becoming more ...
