@1263 I don't see how any government can stop anyone hostile getting into the country. Whether that's a jihadist entering amongst those seeking asylum or Russian agents. Hostile groups already exist within the British citizenry anyway. What about British citizens who are radicalized and become hostile? Even if the boats could be stopped it wouldn't stop British born Jihadists and British born ...
@Paul Here's what the link shows. Both are correct I just viewed it a day later. So the 58 on the 10th May wasn't included And yes, the number is irrelevant. So you reckon every singe one of the is either a jihadist soldier, child rapist or murder then? Do you mostly stay at home with all your doors locked and the curtains drawn? @Paul I'm no fan of the BBC either. Do ...
@Paul If you add those figures together it totals 1125, if you want be factual. The figures refer to irregular migrants attempting to arriving by boat, irregular meaning 'without permission'. How do you know that all of these irregular migrants are men of fighting age, ex ISIS fighters, child rapists and murderers? You write you just post facts, so where's the evidence? I'm not ...
I don't see how these issues can be discussed openly when some contributors on here refer to immigrants as our 'enemies'. If we were to talk about it openly then lets discuss why English is the global lingua franca and whether being a former imperial power have anything to do with the current issue with immigration. Our rulers exported our language, our version of democracy, our favoured ...
And Who is watching the watchers? We need a 'Lib Dem Watch' given that Wrigley and has crooked District council make regular appearances in the Private Eye, breaching human rights, etc. Reform are Trump-like, as are the likes of Wrigley and Dawson. Pot calling the kettle black. Hypocrites.
@1263 If you wrote to the Lib Dems about hiring the barrister I'd be interested to hear what their response was and who responded.
The Liberal Democrats basically got the same amount of votes, so anything Labour or the Conservatives are doing or have done in government didn't directly benefit them. And nothing the Lib Dems have ever done since being formed has had much of a bearing on the two larger parties, including when they partnered with the Tories in the 2010 coalition - they just U-Turned and assisted the ...
https://news.sky.com/video/ed-davey-denies-reform-uk-helped-liberal-democrat-wins-13361345 Ed Davey's in denial.
@1263 You're wrong. The Lib Dem % of the vote in Dawlish was up on 2021 by almost 2%. They only gained 3 more votes compared to 2021. But as turn-out was lower this year their vote share went up.
There's nothing commendable from any party or the electorate when the turnout is a mere 36%. It was worse elsewhere in Teignbridge. Voting should be made mandatory and the option 'None of the Above' added, which should be counted in the official statistics. Apathy is so widespread that nobody seems to care that the First Past the Post system used in England allows the likes of Dawson to win ...
