General Discussion

Come on guys, lets not let this forum degenerate into an abusive slanging match like has happened in the past. We all know what eventually happens is no-one ends up posting at all. Users can post on what ever subject they feel is relevant here and we must respect others views even when we do not agree with them. So lets just agree to differ when this happens and move on. Many thanks.

I fixed it for you. It had some html formatting div tags that was causing it to display oddly.

OK with me!

Can we please stop the personal bickering because it is upsetting some forum users? Also, can we please respect the wishes of users who want to remain anonymous? The purpose of this forum is to invite healthy debate and inevitably people are not going to agree, but it is important not to resort to personal attacks.

Hells Bells, I will move this to news, what's-on or create a web page for it as I think it is important to accommodate all things relating to Dawlish on this site. Please bear with me on this for the time being. I think sometimes it is not clear where best to post things on here and it is tempting to post on the most popular section - the forum - but I have plans to improve this.

Passwords

Hi User 4549, Just signed up with that site under the username 'dawlishdotcom' and posted a comment. Although I can see what you mean from your earlier posts, the only thing I can think of is that you chose that as the username when you signed up with them. It is probably best to change your dawlish.com password ASAP. You can do this here: https://www.dawlish.com/account/change-password.aspx

User 4549, can you post a link to one of the sites you mean?

User 4549, this is most likely due to the way your browser is remembering bits of data you are typing into text boxes. However, it is unusual for any browser to pick up a password from one site and use it on another site especially if it results in the browser revealing the password. I can confirm though that Dawlish.com is an independently owned site and not part of any newspaper company.

Lost Black Swan

Sorry @Fronterman and others, this is not a Dawlish Swan that is missing. The number is a Camborne, Cornwall one, so I guess the swan has gone missing from there? The email address also suggests this but I did not want to publish it without the owner's consent.
