It could be donated to the National Trust. You can then charge to view the incompetance of the authorities. I'm sure Ziggy could do some good photo's and send then to the Gazette with a write up on the historical structure of the collasped wall. But on a serious note as the summer months get going and with long tail backs of traffic both in and out of Dawlish I'm sure radio Devon would be ...
Ah yes, the Elf and Safety forgot about those bunch of idiots. It really is a shame though for the town to have all these traffic bottlenecks. The locals know it's there but some poor holiday maker that wants to come into the town and shop at what shops we have, I for one would just keep on going or turn around and hopefully find a way out of this maze. All this money spent on the Strand ...
What is needed here is for some enterprising people to take the job on themselves during the dead of night when the old bill are asleep, or at least have some lookouts posted. If ownership of this wall has not been established it will remain there throughout the summer months and into the winter months. Don't think for one minuet that this eyesore and traffic bottleneck is going anywhere soon.
I applaud local govenments to allow people that may have some sort of disability free parking or limited parking. But as we know it's not always the person that has the disability driving the vehicle, is the name of the person displayed on the permit ? So what does a traffic warden do when she/he see's the driver is not disabled. Just curious how it works in the UK.
I agree with you ABC it is unfair he is a business man and has enough to put up with without taking all this s**t
Interesting conversations and getting quite testy going's on Facebook ( Eyes of Dawlish ) it's about the Strand works and parking, go take a look. David Force getting flack and that's from his family.
Comment from across the pond, I believe you can park your car free of charge after 6pm and must be moved by 9am the following morning.
After enduring all the construction the noise, the dust, the dirt on the Strand these past couple of months I am going to miss the grand opening as I'm in the States for a couple of months. Yesterday first day back in America and of course jet lag really gets you, but today feeling great. Did shopping and filled my car up with petrol forty eight dollars (48) to fill a eighteen gallon tank that's ...
Yes, it's open but not yet finished. What are the plans for the walkway through the lawn and what's happening adjacent to the Ugly Duckling?
This blog is played out can we put this thread to rest.
