Walking through the town this evening and along the strand on the pavement opposite the shops and found ourselves having to walk out into the road to avoid the 2 taxis which were parked on the pavement. Pure laziness as there were parking spaces and loading bay available. Since when have aaztec taxis white mercedes estate car and blue peugeot rifter been given such special dispensation! Yes I do ...
So let's get this right: you can go up in the loft and put a protruding dormer window in the rear roof affording views over neighbours gardens and quite possibly into their bedrooms without planning permission courtesy of permitted development rights granted in 2013. And wef next month it is likely that anyone can add a storey or two to their dwelling with a minimum of planning dept ...
But you still need planning permission for a tree house. I think i will get my red shoes out of the loft and tap them together 3 times and get the hell out of here. I am just waiting for the ufo's and unicorns to appear next. A little off subject but i think a few may get my point.
not that i could see at 11:00 hrs this morning, but the wood slats for the tilledj roof that was detiled sometime ago seem to have gone now. I thought this was a listed building. the only reason it has got to this state of disrepair has ben engineered by those who own it, in my opinion. for the sole purpose of screwing as much profit as possible ouyt of the site again in my opinion.
@Deedoodle - is the work still going on? What do you think they were/are doing?
The 2 x planning applications from Network Rail concerning the railway station and wall are due to be heard at the next TDC planning committee meeting starting 10.00am on Tuesday 18th August. As it happens Dawlish has three councillors who sit on that committee. So if anyone has any strong feelings one way or t'other about what is being proposed by Network Rail/what the town council would ...
For one, I hope that the planning goes ahead, as the whole seafront from the viaduct eastwards looks an eyesore and is in a disgusting state. As for the boathouse, last time I saw it, there were holes in the roof and was in a very sad state of repair, so if that is an asset to the town, it doesen't say much about Dawlish itself. People want to save it for the sake of disrupting future ...
Further to the Town Council’s Planning Committee’s resolution of 9 July 2020, and following an Extraordinary Meeting of the Dawlish Town Council on 3 August 2020, it was resolved by Members that further comments be submitted in respect of the above applications which are due to be considered by Teignbridge District Council’s Planning Committee on 18 August 2020, namely that: • Network ...
Just checked. Correct about the proposed reduction in AH requirement for small developers. See pages 26-28 of the consultation document. Click here https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/changes-to-the-current-planning-system Consultation closes 11.45pm 1st October 2020
"Builders will no longer need a normal planning application to demolish and rebuild vacant and redundant residential and commercial buildings if they are rebuilt as homes". Would the site of the Daw Vale Care Home along Westcliff fall under this category? I believe I heard yesterday that the government is saying developers will not need to provide any form of Affordable Housing provision ...
