As far as I am aware it was, and i s, a commonly held maxim that the hitting of Article 50 to start the process for the UK to leave the EU will not take place until early 2017 at the earlist. The US elections take place in November 2016. So ergo yes of course Brexit will not take place until after the US elections. Doh!
