@UPWITHIT Are you able to post a link to the Covenant for the Manor please.

Having used the bus to Exeter for the last two days I can confirm that the buses are used extensively after 5:00 pm. The problem over low usage seems to revolve around the very poor timekeeping of the route 2 buses. In the trip up to Exeter on Monday I counted 7 buses coming the other way, they are supposed to be 20 minutes apart but at least 4 buses were only 5 minutes apart so one of the two ...

The goverment must arrange its own independent count of passenger numbers throughout the year, but I still say that CC must continue the existing timetable

Standing on Newton Abbot station on Thursday morning at 9:15 and a Cross Country train from Manchester to Paignton arrived and I made a point of counting the number of passengers on the train. To the best of my ability I counted 63 passengers just a small difference to their average figure of 25.

@Lynne sorry but 13 people costing 1.3 million pounds economies can be made locally, and remember thats only tdc what about dcc

I know what SW Trains did, every time we need to travel now  to Woking to see family its first to Exeter then change and on to Woking the same coming back. but when we first moved to the west country we could travel from Dawlish direct to Woking.

I have sent my objection email, having read the Cross Country document it's not only the Paignton services that are to be dropped but services to Penzance as well. In effect they are proposing to cut everything west of Exeter.  So the land past Exeter is not part of this country according to Cross Country.

It is the right of every citizen to inspect and question the accounts of the local council. From what I have seen so far TDC seems to be putting the rights of its employees before the needs of the residents of Teignbridge.

Surely the point is that CC tendered for and was awarded a contract on the basis of the trains and routes being served at that time and the minister must now hold them to what they bid for. The fact that some trains or routes are loss making is irelevant, they must take the bad with the good. If all the train operators are going to be allowed to cherry pick what routes they operate then cuts will ...

Did you also know that TDC paid a cool £1 million pounds extra into the council pension fund because of a shortfall on the valuation in the 2015/2016 financial year. Also at the last valuation the fund should a shortfall of £71 million, got a damn good pension fund have these council employees.
